What is a positive version of the future?
And for whom should it be positive?
Using the housing market in Berlin as an example, the film examines two opposing ideas of the future. Based on a conversation between two people walking through the city, it quickly becomes clear that not everyone wants the same thing and that their motivations can be very different.
But who decides on the future?

In our bachelor's thesis, we dealt with the question: How can the transformation process in the Cabanyal neighbourhood in Valencia be made visible in its spatial and social overlaps with the help of the camera?
The old fishermen's quarter has been severely neglected since 2001 due to the planned construction of a large road connecting the city centre directly to the sea. Since the failure of these plans, the infrastructure has been renovated and the properties bought up and developed by private investors. This has resulted in both structural and social changes. The aim of the film is to make the spatial and social overlaps between the new and old residents visible.

DESCRIBE AN APPLE TO ME is an artistic
exploration of the connection between man/woman and nature through abstract close-ups of bodies and plants.
The photographs are characterised by their unique perspective, capturing not only the physical proximity but also a profound emotional connection between the two worlds.
The sensuality and intimacy captured in each photograph create their own atmosphere. The organic shapes of the plants blend seamlessly with the curves and lines of the human body, creating a harmonious connection. This connection not only reflects aesthetic attraction, but also tells a story of shared existence and codependence.

The video work TO THE PEOPLE is an appeal to decision-makers, planners and politicians to finally give society its space back.
A space in which self-organised and self-determined decisions can be made about which uses are needed and where there is no need to adhere to regulations that bypass the users. It is about a conscious occupation of built space and the opportunities that lie therein if society is given trust and the necessary tools.
In the video, you can see the appeal in writing and it is read aloud at the same time. In the background you can see a section of the façade of the justice centre in Munich, backed by a colony of ants. In the course of the appeal, the justice centre is completely taken over by this community in a self-determined and self-organised manner and the space is designed to meet their needs.

Task on the topic of do things better
I can quickly become intimidated by the presence of ever new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, which can always do everything better/faster/more accurately. In the film, this inhibition and these thoughts are reflected in the protagonist. Afraid that he himself might not be able to solve the task in front of him well enough, he turns to such an AI to help him do it better. In the course of the film, however, the protagonist realises that something is missing. In the process for this task and my associated inhibition, I have increasingly come to realise that a dynamic and personality does not only come with quality that strives for the optimum, but that the ‘better’ should serve much more as a challenge: ‘do better than not do.’
